Herbert Dials, Jr.

Herbert Dials, Jr., age 78, of Lovely, KY went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 17, 2023 at his home. He was born May 4, 1944 at Pilgrim, KY. He was the son of the late Herbert, Sr. and Nora Runyons Dials. Herb is preceded in death by brothers, Elmer, Eugene, Paul, Cecil and Leroy Dials, sisters, Eula Stepp, Becky Smith, Pearl Pack, Debbie Lloyd, Katherin Dials and twin boys, Ronnie and Lonnie Dials. Herbert was a disabled veteran and retired coal miner and a member of the Wolf Creek Community Church. Herbert is survived by his long lifetime companion of 58 years, Nellie Dials of Lovely, KY, his children, Timmy (Peggy) Dials of Harrodsburg, KY, Tammy (Brad) Davis of Lovely, KY, and Jason (Brittany) Dials of Paintsville, KY. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Adam (Elisabeth) Dials, Joshua Lee Horn, Holly (Scottie) Hinkle, Hannah (Josh) Dillion, Danica Dials and Jayden Dials, his great grandchildren, Sophie, Kyleigh, and Kegan Hinkle, Sterling Herbert Dials, Natalee Grace Dillion, and his siblings, Ernie (LouAnn) Dials, Bonnie (John) Duncan, Rita (Manuel) Stafford and Nora Ray. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11 AM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Daniel Mayhew officiating. Burial will follow at the Dials Family Cemetery by Herb's residence. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday and Thursday from 6 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
