Herman Staton

Herman Staton, age 71, of Lovely, KY, passed away June 7, 2023 at Highland Appalachian Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, KY. He was born June 1, 1952 in Pilgrim, KY to the late Dave and Lizzie Staton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Jude Staton, one brother, Ermal Staton, three sisters, Mary Jenkins, Dorothy Barch, and Elsie Staton, and one stepson, Lonnie Jude. He is survived by three daughters, Dorothy (Cecil) Cook of Beauty, KY, Mary Setser of Inez, KY, and Jenny Robinson of Lovely, KY, three stepsons, Ray (Linda) Jude of Pilgrim, KY, Elijah (Macie) Jude of Kermit, WV, and Johnny (Wanda) Jude of Inez, KY, three brothers, Amos Staton of Inez, KY, David Staton, Jr. and Jimmy (Joyce) Staton, both of Lovely, KY, and two sisters, Larna Setser of Lovely, KY and Carol (Edgar) Daniels of Tomahawk, KY. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 2 PM at the Mouth of Emily Zion United Baptist Church with Terry Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Staton Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Friday and Saturday from 6 PM to 11 PM each night. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
