James Rufus Booth

James Rufus Booth, age 73, of Lexington, KY, passed away March 15, 2020 at Bluegrass Hospice Care Center. He was born June 27, 1946 to the late Foster Nelson Booth and Viola Crum Booth in Martin County, KY. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, George David Booth. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Zada Merrilie Booth, one son, James Michael Booth of Lexington, KY, two brothers, Charles Lee (Gay) Booth of Jenkins, KY and Richard Eugene (Odessa) Booth of Beauty, KY, and three sisters, Barbara Ellen (Willie) Kelley of Nicholasville, KY and Foretta Stacy and Sarah Fannin, both of Beauty, KY. James was a former employee of both American Tree and Wreath and Irvin Industries. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the home of Flo Stacy, 1252 Elk Creek Rd., Beauty, KY 41203. Rodney Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in the Booth Cemetery, Beauty, KY. Friends may visit at the home beginning at 4 PM on Tuesday until the time of funeral service on Thursday. There will be church services each night beginning at 7 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
