James Avery McCoy

James Avery McCoy, age 59, of Paintsville, KY passed away April 30, 2023 at his residence. He was born October 24, 1963 in Martin County, KY to the late James Thomas McCoy and Christine Slone. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Gary Lee McCoy, and two sisters, Linda Lou Dunlap and Phyllis Ann Maynard. He is survived by his stepmother, Creasy Jude, one son, Austin McCoy of Inez, KY, one daughter, Samantha (DJ) Hill of Paintsville, KY, and one brother, Tommy McCoy of Inez, KY. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 1 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Delong Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday and Wednesday from 5 PM to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral cost. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
