James S. Osborn

James Stewart Osborn, age 87, of Inez, KY passed away May 13, 2023 in Lexington, KY. He was born April 17, 1936 in Martin County, KY to the late Elijah and Hattie Harless Osborn. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Harry Osborn, three brothers, Elbert J. (Debbie) Osborne, Danny Wayne and Richard Osborne, and seven sisters, Allie Mae Stepp, Sylvia Osborne, Lizzie Damron, Betty Jean Goble, Rosie Marcum, Egie Webb Stepp, and Nancy Howard. He is survived by his wife, Mattie Muncy Osborn, three sons, James W. (Roxanne) Osborn of Amanda, OH and Danny S. (Janice) Osborn and John D. (Tracy) Osborne, both of Paintsville, KY, one daughter, Janet Osborn (Claude) Crisp of Nebo, NC, two stepchildren, Franklin "Pete" (Nancy) Fitzpatrick of Inez, KY and Cathy (Gary) Fitzpatrick-Sparks of Beauty, KY, and two brothers, Jay L. (Tish) Osborne and Dewey (Lynn) Osborn, both of Beauty, KY. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Joseph (Nikki) Osborn of Amanda, OH, April (Travis) Bowersock of San Antonio, TX, Ryan (Nicole) Crisp of Chesapeake, VA, John (Jessa) Crisp of Colorado Springs, CO, Alethea Lardner of Marion, NC, Amelia Woodward of Vicenza, Italy, Jared (Amanda) Osborn of Georgetown, KY, Megan Osborn of Paintsville, KY, Derek Osborne of Lexington, KY and Bryce Osborne of Indianapolis, IN, five step grandchildren, Miranda (Max) Hale of Pigeon Roost, KY, Cindy (Shannon) Rowe of Louisa, KY, and James (Ashley) Fitzpatrick of Van Lear, KY, Robert (Meagan) Harris of Lenoir City, TN, and Thomas (Tiffany) Fitzpatrick of Maryville, TN, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 2 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Warnie Pinson officiating. Pallbearers will be Ryan Crisp, Claude Crisp, Joey Osborn, James Fitzpatrick, Robert Harris and Thomas Fitzpatrick. Burial will follow at the Delong Cemetery on Davella. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 7 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
