James B. Preece

James B. Preece, age 79, of Inez, KY, passed away May 11, 2021 at his residence. He was born July 27, 1941 in Preece, KY to the late William Howard and Rosie Delong Preece. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers, Lonnie Preece, Harold Preece, Glenn Ray Preece, Howard Preece, Jr., and Boone Preece, and two sisters, Fern Carty and Sharon Winchester. He is survived by his wife, Lula J. Preece, one son, James Bradford (Linda) Preece of Pilgrim, KY, one daughter, Jessica Lynn (Cameron) Begley of Lexington, KY, two brothers, Donnie (Wanda) Preece and Frankilin (Mavis) Preece, both of Inez, KY, and three sisters, Corrine (Jack) Ellis of Columbus, OH, Faye (Willie) Marcum of OH, and Verna McKenzie of FL. He is also survived by one grandchild, Abagail Larue, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Bethel United Baptist Church, 850 Coldwater Rd, Inez, KY, with Morgan Kirk, Denny Moore, and Ronnie Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain Valley Memorial Garden, Inez, KY. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday and Friday beginning at 5 PM with special service on Friday at 7 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
