James "Slim" Wellman

James "Slim" Wellman, age 67, of Inez, KY passed away September 22, 2021 at Kings Daughter's Medical Center in Ashland, KY. He was born April 29, 1954 in Logan, WV to the late Lester Wellman and Barbara Lambert Fannin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, David Neil Wellman and Grady Fannin, and two sisters, Crystal Wellman and Jean Anne Fannin. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Bowen Wellman, one son, James David (AJ) Kalayil of Chicago, IL, two daughters, Brandy Lynn (Kenneth) Daniels and Jennifer (Brandon) May, both of Inez, KY, and one brother, Blaine Wellman of Kenova, WV. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Beyaunka Wellman, Connor May, Chloe May, Bowen Kalayil and Maeve Kalayil. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 6 PM to 9 PM. There will be a private graveside service at Riverview Memorial Garden with Nathan Harless officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
