Jesse Staton

Jesse Staton, age 80, of Inez, KY, passed away December 6, 2022 at the Martin County Nursing Facility. He was born March 10, 1942 in Martin County, KY to the late Rush and Susie Stacy Staton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Hayes Howell, and three sisters, Maudie Sartin, Betty Jude, and Gertie Jude. He is survived by two sons, Jasper Staton of Paintsville, KY and Jeffrey (Stephanie) Staton of Tomahawk, KY, one daughter, Melinda (Randy) Horn of Inez, KY and one sister, Charity Karen Sammons of Louisa, KY. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 1 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Brian Crum officiating. Burial will follow at the Horn Blackburn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday and Wednesday from 5 PM to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
