John Rass Maynard

John Rass Maynard, age 63 of Catlettsburg, KY, passed away on March 7, 2026, at his residence. He was born on October 25, 1962, to the late Jessie and Parlee (Scott) Maynard in Beauty, KY. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two brothers, Clark Maynard and Stephen Maynard. He is survived by his wife, Dedra (Mills) Maynard of Catlettsburg, KY, two sons, Jonathan Ray (Heather) Maynard of Ashland, KY, and Justin Paul Maynard of Ashland, KY, two brothers, Gary Maynard of Versailles, KY, and Jessie Maynard, Jr, of Inez, KY, and two sisters, Peggy Marcum of Lovely, KY, and Shelby Jean "Jeanie" Harmon of South Carolina. John is also survived by four grandchildren, John Sawyer Maynard, Tessa Marie Maynard, Jayci Woods, and Natalie Woods, and one grandson on the way, Justin Michael John Maynard. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 12 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Paul Crisp officiating. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery in Beauty, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 5 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
