John Shely Stacy

John Shely Stacy, age 60, of Paintsville, KY, formerly of Martin County, KY, passed away November 10, 2022 at Highlands Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born June 8, 1962 in Lawrence Co., KY to the late Cecil and Vina Jude Stacy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Glendine Stacy and Easter Staton, and two brothers, Lacy Stacy and David Eugene Stacy. He is survived by his wife, Della Vanhoose, six brothers, George Stacy, Jeff Stacy, James Stacy, Danny Stacy, Billy Stacy and Jeffery Stacy, and two sisters, Lillie Reed and Bobbie McCoy. He is also survived by his good friend, David Slone, who was the same as a brother to him, a host of nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 1 PM at the Buck Branch United Baptist Church with Buddy Stacy and Elijah Collins officiating. Burial will follow at the Stacy/Maynard Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral cost. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
