Josephine (Thompson) Gillam

Josephine Gillam, age 52, passed away October 11, 2021 at her residence. She was born June 9, 1969 in Louisa, KY to the late Charles Hammond and Joyce Thompson Hammond. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her companion of 13 years, Chuck Meadows of Wayne, WV, two sons, Lawrence (Cheri) Ratcliff, Jr. of Crum, WV and Benjamin (Heather) Ratcliff of Fort Gay, WV, two brothers, Matthew Thompson of Fort Gay, WV and Randy Thompson of FL, and two sisters, Joanne Perry of Louisa, KY and Mylinda Moore of Genoa, WV. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Cameron, Eason, Tanner, Tucker, and Tinsley, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 1 PM at the Glen Hayes Baptist Church with Ronnie Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery on Mill Creek. Friends may visit at the church on Wednesday from 3 PM to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral cost. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
