Karen (Blankenship) Tramel

Karen Blankenship Tramel, aka Sissy Karen, 71, of Inez, KY, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025. She was born on June 13, 1953, to the late Buddy and Lucille Blankenship. Karen was the loving wife of Jerry Tramel as the two were seemingly inseparable for the past 29 years.

Karen was known by all for her gentle spirit. Her nurturing nature will especially be missed by her many nieces and nephews that she treated as her own. She was a long time member of the Inez Church of Christ where she will be missed and remembered for not only her bible lessons but also her delicious snacks and gifts. While she had many interests, a visit to her home would not be absent a tour of her impressive Barbie Doll collection. 

Karen is preceded in death by her brother Ronald Blankenship, sister Martha Maynard and niece Rhonda Blankenship. She leaves behind her loving husband of 29 years, Jerry Tramel, daughters, Staci Crider and Becky (Mike) Adams, sister, Lynn Maynard, grandchildren, Louden (Laeken) Crider, Jessica Crider, MaKenna Adams, Madison Adams and Natasha Adams, nieces, Amy Reed, Traci Patrick and Anna Sartin, nephews, Jason Blankenship and Rodney Maynard. She also leaves behind her good friend, Becky Kirk. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Inez Church of Christ from 5-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Inez Church of Christ on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 12 PM. Burial will follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Garden in Inez, KY.  Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
