Kayla Lenell Smith

Kayla Lenell Smith, 34, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on November 11, 2023 surrounded by her family. Kayla was born on April 19, 1989 to Kim and Patrick Haney of Louisa, KY and Paul Smith of California.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Abram Davis, Jr. and Nellie Davis Fannin, and her paternal grandparents, Henry and Marlene Smith, Wanda Lee Smith, and Howard Haney.

Kayla is survived by her parents, one brother, Joshua Haney of Louisa, KY, her paternal grandmother, Virginia Haney, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many friends that she loved dearly.

Kayla was a member of the Inez Freewill Baptist Church where she truly loved her church family. She was an inspiration to so many that she met in her short lifetime. She was a true prayer warrior and so enjoyed discussing the Lord with family, friends and even complete strangers that she met along the way.

Kayla always loved to travel and planned where she would be eating next. She had several pets but loved all animals. She learned to crochet by joining a group of ladies she met online from the United Kingdom. Kayla was loved more than Hershey Kisses, which brought a smile to her face.

Services will be held in the chapel of Crum Funeral home on Tuesday, November 14, at 1 p.m. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, November 13 from 5 to 9 p.m. A private memorial service will be held for Kayla at a later date.
