Larry Horn Obituary

Larry Joe Horn, 78, loving husband of Geneva Horn for 56 years, passed away on July 7, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, WV of cardiac arrest.  Larry Joe Horn was born October 12, 1941 in Warfield, the eldest son of Haskel and Ruth Mollett Horn.  He served as an independent regional electrical inspector for over 38 years.  He was a veteran who served his country proudly as a member of the United States Army Second and Third Armor Divisions in Germany from 1960-1963. He enjoyed baseball and played an active role as a local coach and umpire for over 35 years. He loved his family, country, all UK sports, and riding in his Jeep.

Larry Joe Horn was preceded in death by his parents Haskel and Ruth Mollette Horn.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Ann Price; a son, Joe Horn Jr.; a daughter, Ruthie (Greg) Harkins; 7 grandchildren, Andrea (Bobby) Haggard; Chasity (Ricky) Jude;  Josh Price;  Mikaela ( Junior) Marcum; Aaron (Abbie) Farrar; Kaileah Harkins; and Jacob Horn, 4 great-grandchildren;  Madison Jude; Jaxson Spence; Miles Marcum; and Hadley Haggard; 5 siblings, Patricia King, Peggy Bowen, David (Darlis) Horn, Judy Lemaster, Johnny (Donna) Horn; and several nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church in Lovely, KY on July 25, 2020 at 5pm. The family of Larry Joe Horn would like to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the V.A. Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital for the amazing care they extended for our beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
