Lena (Stepp) Mitchell

Lena Mitchell, age 70, of Inez, KY, passed away at her residence on December 11, 2024.

Born December 18, 1953 in Martin County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Stepp and Gladys Fitch Stepp of Inez, KY. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Dean Mitchell, one brother, James Henry Stepp, two sisters, Susie Mollett and Dicie Greer, one sister-in-law, Susie Stepp, three brothers-in-law, Truman Hackney, Jim Hensley and Ray Mollett, and one niece, Sharion Yaunk.

She is survived by one son, Michael Dean (Melanie) Mitchell of Inez, KY, two brothers, Jasper Stepp of Tomahawk, KY and Larry Stepp of Inez, KY, two sisters, Irene Hensley and Judy (Gerald) Clark, both of Inez, KY, two grandchildren, Zackry Mitchell (Makayla Johnson) of Floyd County and Caleb Mitchell of Lexington, KY, one great grandchild, Katrina Danielle Mitchell of Floyd County, and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, December 14, 2024 in the chapel of the Crum Funeral Home with Sammy Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Stepp Cemetery at Poplar Fork. Friends may visit from 6:00-9:00 PM Thursday and Friday at the funeral home.
