Loretta Bowen

Loretta Bowen, age 54, of Martin County, KY, went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was born on August 1, 1970, to the late Edward and Juanita (Whitt) Bowen in Louisa, KY. In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her twin sister, Pauletta Bowen, and a special nephew, Gunner Stepp. She is survived by her husband, Mitchell Bowen of Martin County, KY, one son, Joseph Ryan (Michelle) Bowen of Martin County, KY, one daughter, Kendra (Corey) Hill of Martin County, KY, three brothers, Tommy (Carla) Bowen, Ronnie (Vickie) Bowen, and Timmy (Brenda) Bowen, all of Martin County, KY, and two sisters, Edwina (Charlie) Spaulding and Vickie (Michael) Horn, both of Louisa, KY. Loretta is also survived by her grandchildren, Cameron Hill, Alyssa Hill, and Laila Hill, and a host of nieces and nephews. Mitchell and Loretta were both faithful members of the Calf Creek United Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 1 PM at the Calf Creek United Baptist Church with Maurice Mills and Mike Horn officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowen Cemetery. Friends may visit the church on Friday, July 18th and Saturday, July 19th beginning from 5 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
