Lura (Horn) Mills

Lura (Horn) Mills, age 82, of Catlettsburg, KY, passed away on March 13, 2025, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born on June 25, 1942, to the late Sanford and Inez (Keeton) Horn in Inez, KY. In addition to her parents, Lura was preceded in death by eight brothers, Enos Harvey, Elzie Harvey, Herman Horn, Thurman Horn, HD Horn, Buddy Horn, Raymond Horn and Howard Horn, and two sisters, Anna Mae Hinkle and Shelby Salyers. Lura is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Mills of Catlettsburg, KY, one son, Dean (Tiffany) Mills of Paintsville, KY, two daughters, Dedra (John) Maynard of Catlettsburg, KY, and Devonda (Michael) Hunt of Ashland, KY. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jonathan Maynard, Justin Maynard, Austin Hunt, Brian Hunt, and Macy Mills, and four great grandchildren, Sawyer Maynard, Tessa Maynard, Jayci Woods, and Natalie Woods. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 11 AM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Garrett Mills and Dwayne Mills officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverview Memorial Gardens in Louisa, KY. Friends may visit the funeral home on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 6 PM to 9 PM.
