Margaret H. Simpkins, 86, of Sunbury, OH, formally of Martin County, Kentucky, went home with her Lord on October 11, 2024. She was born to the late Eligh and Tilda Jude Sartin on June 6, 1938. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eldon David on December 31, 2022. Mom joined the church in 1963. She was not ashamed to claim her faith to anyone. She married the love of her life, Eldon D. Simpkins, on October 11, 1958. Together they had three children, 12 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Mom leaves behind her children; David (Gene) and Debbie of Sunbury, OH and Michael (Tanya) of Jackson, OH. Grandchildren; Jodi (James) Sexton, Stephanie Simpkins, Samantha (Patrick) Bockover, Jennifer (Tyler) Jugg, Jessica (Dewy) Loerzel, Michael Simpkins, Jr, Jacob Simpkins, Kaitlyn Simpkins, Elijah Simpkins, Alexis Simpkins, Joseph and Matthew Hubbard. Great-grandchildren; Bailey and Bristol Sexton, Gideon, Leia, Addalyn, and David Jugg, Gwen and Daniel Bockover, and baby Loerzel coming in April 2025. Mom also leaves behind many family members and friends. She is preceded in death by 21 brothers and sisters.
Mom lived her life for the Lord and all her family.
Mom, rest in the arms of Jesus, which you have looked forward to for so long. You will be missed so badly, but we know you are no longer in pain and happy now.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 11AM, in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Lonnie Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Muncy Cemetery, Emily Creek, KY. Friends may visit the funeral home on Monday, October 14, 2024, and Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 5PM to 9PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
