Markieta (Harvey) Crum

Markieta (Harvey) Crum, age 71, of Lovely, KY, passed away on May 20, 2025, at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born on April 1, 1954, to the late Enos and Ida (Horn) Harvey in Paintsville, KY. In addition to her parents, Markieta was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Crum, one son, Keith Franklin Crum, and one sister, Carma Horn. Markieta is survived by two daughters, Tonya Crum (Michael) Clayton of Wittensville, KY, and Sonya Crum of Staffordsville, KY, Sarah Meyerhoff, whom she thought of as a daughter, four brothers, Steve (Sherry) Harvey of Ohio, Danny (Ida) Harvey of Paintsville, KY, Chris (Linda) Harvey of Inez, KY, and Orson (Michelle) Harvey of Inez, KY, and four sisters, Maggie (Will) Thompson of Lawrence County, KY, Diane (Tom) Waddle of Prestonsburg, KY, Lori (Ronald) Workman of Warfield, KY, and Betsy (Owen) Wright of Prestonsburg, KY. Markieta is also survived by nine grandchildren, Austin Crum of Lexington, KY, Joshua Crum of Flat Gap, KY, Harrison Crum of Lexington, KY, Corey Mills of Charleston, WV, Willow Crum of Morehead, KY, Hannah Crum of Wittensville, KY, Cody Wheeler of Staffordsville, KY, Mason (Myra) Mills of Wittensville, KY, and Liberty Meyerhoff, and one great grandchild, Benjamin Mills of Charleston, WV. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 1 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Harvey Cemetery in Inez, KY. Friends may visit the funeral home on Monday, May 26, 2025, from 5 PM to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Crum Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home in Inez, KY.
