Marsha (Thompson) Hammond

Marsha Hammond, age 64, of Lovely, KY, passed away August 18, 2023 at Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY. She was born April 24, 1959 in Mill Creek, WV to Alice Adkins Thompson of Mill Creek, WV and the late Dick Thompson. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Johnny Mack Bryant, II, and one brother, Gene Thompson. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 47 years, Kennith Hammond of Lovely, KY, two daughters, LeeAnn Bryant of Lenore, WV and Alissa (Buddy) Moore of Louisa, KY, four brothers, Eddie (Debbie) Adkins of Wayne, WV, and Dana Thompson, Rocky (Carol) Thompson, and Joe (Rhonda) Thompson, all of Mill Creek, WV, two sisters, Lucy (Mark) Hampton of Mill Creek, WV and  Kathy (Timmy) Brooks of Wayne, WV, her special friends, Sandy, Denise and Emma, and LeeAnn’s special friend, Anthony Fitzpatrick. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Johnny Mack (Cayley) Bryant, III, Mackenzie (Zack) McKinney, Jamison Bentley Moore, Zachary Rylan Moore, and Kason Wyatt Moore, and two great grandchildren, Brynleigh McKinney, and Carson McKinney. Marsha was a member of the Freedom Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 2 PM at the Freedom Freewill Baptist Church with Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Garden in Louisa, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
