Mary Katharine (Penix) Blevins

Mary Katharine (Penix) Blevins, age 69, of Tomahawk, KY, passed away on November 12, 2025, at UK Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born on March 6, 1956, to the late Estil and Ethel (Boyd) Penix in Paintsville, KY. In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by four brothers, George L. Penix, Estil Penix, Jr.” Delnore”, Harvey Ray Penix, Harold Jack Penix, and one sister, Virginia Meade.  She is survived by her husband, Jerry Blevins, one daughter, Jerrica Smith of Johnson City, TN, one brother, Glenn (Josie) Penix of Tomahawk, KY, one sister, Donna Muncy of Tomahawk, KY, three grandsons, Collin Brett, Weston Gage, Braxton Pierce and several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. On April 23,1972, at the age of 16, Kathy was saved and baptized by Herman Davis and Arthur Preece. She was also a member of the United Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens in Louisa, KY. Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday, November 14th from 6 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
