Mason Sweeney

Mason Sweeney, age 75, from Beauty, KY, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 at his residence. Mason was the eldest son of the late Carlos Sweeney and Nancy (Maynard) Sweeney. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Annie (Chaffin) Sweeney, two sons: John (Angela) Sweeney of Adena, OH and William Sweeney of Inez, KY, and three daughters: Thelma Mae (Randy) Slone of Inez, KY, Belinda (Cliff) Bennett of Paintsville, KY, Annette (Mike) Evans of Inez, KY. He also leaves behind four brothers: Dallas Sweeney of Inez, KY, Randall Sweeney of Beauty, KY, Keith Sweeney of INez, KY, and Carlos Sweeney of Beauty, KY, three sisters: Anna Hickman of Columbus, OH, Rosetta Jude of Stone Coal, WV, and Connie Murphy of Lovely, KY. Mason also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Mason was preceded in death by both parents, Carlos Sweeney and Nancy Sweeney, two brothers: Ronnie Lee Sweeney and Granville Sweeney, one son, Mason Sweeney, Jr., and one great grandson, Charlie Ryder Meadows. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the family cemetery on Coldwater Rd., Inez, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday and Thursday from 6 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
