Minnie Mae (Williamson) Crum, 85 years old, went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2026. Born on October 22, 1940, in Grey Eagle, WV to Grace (Fitch) and Ersel Williamson. She was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother and her husband. Minnie Mae surrendered her life to Jesus at the age of 16. She was married in October 1961, to William "Butch" Crum and spent 63 years being a Godly example of what a wife and mother should be. Together, they raised their four children in church, serving in various ministries over the years. She was a dedicated prayer warrior. She is the reason so many of us are here today. She showed her love in countless ways and loved to cook. If you left her house hungry, it was your own fault. Homemade chicken and dumplins, cole slaw and "Old Stoneface" were among the favorites, and you could always count on something sweet to complete any meal. She not only cooked for special occasions but for special people, showing her love by filling our bellies. She selflessly poured all that she had and all that she was into those she loved. She could always be counted on to keep your secrets, hug away your doubts and give sound, biblical advice. She was never too busy to listen to your cares and guide you on the right path. Minnie was a devoted Bible reader and loved to talk about Jesus. Among her favorite passages were Psalms 91 and John 14, which she could recite from memory. If you didn't know about Jesus when you met her, you did before you left her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her four children, Bruce Crum, Grace McDowell (Jeff), Ersela Jordan (Robert) and Robin Jones (Rick), along with eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, and many other beloved family members, one brother, David Fitch (Bobbie) of Plain City, OH, and one sister, Pat Shephard, of Inez, KY.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 9, 2026, at 1PM, in the Chapel of the Crum Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fitzpatrick Cemetery, Marrowbone, WV. Friends may visit the funeral home Monday, March 9, 2026, at 12PM until the time of service. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
