Misty Dawn (Nichols) Henson

Misty Dawn Nichols Henson, age 40, formerly of Martin County, KY passed away at her residence in Williamson, WV on September 21, 2021 due to Covid. She was born August 18, 1981 to the late Grover and Goldie Nichols. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Cora Jude Osborne, and one brother, Grover Nichols, Jr. Misty is survived by her husband, James (Jim) Henson and two sons, Braxton Sawyers of Thompsonville, MI and Steven Logan Bowling of Paintsville, KY, whom she adored more than life itself. She is also survived by her six siblings, Christine (Tim) Treleven of Varney, WV, Lakawanna (Greg) Young of Stone, KY, Tammy (Dan) Kissick of Corbin, KY, Sabrina (Jimmy, Jr.) Jude of Louisa, KY, Robert (Amanda) Nichols of West Liberty, KY, and Keith (Christi) Nichols of Pikeville, KY. Misty is also survived by a niece that was like a sister, (Lesheana Curry), and a host of other nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Williamson, WV with Jarrod Belcher officiating. Due to Covid, there will be a private family visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Public visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM with services and burial to follow. She will be buried in Martin County at the Jude Family Cemetery, Emily Creek, KY, close to her parents, grandparents, and little brother as she requested. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
