Myrtle (Horn) Kirk, age 74 of Inez, KY, passed away on November 10, 2024, at her residence. She was born on February 5, 1950, to the late Earl and Ella (Horn) Horn in Inez, KY. In addition to her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Kirk, Sr, two sons, Ricky Dean Kirk and Johnny Kirk, Jr, four brothers, Harvey, Allen, Claude, and Roy Horn, nine sisters, Irene Horn, Nadine Numpford, Amanda Johnson, Sally Spence, Pauline Maynard, Eloise Spence, Peachie Maynard, Olivene Bowen, and Dolly Horn, four grandchildren, Christopher Bowen, Justin Kirk, Dustin Kirk, and Nathaniel Hinkle, and one great grandchild, Liam Chase Bowen. Myrtle is survived by one son, Earl (Krissy) Bowen of Inez, KY, three daughters, Kimberly Lynn Kirk of Prestonsburg, KY, Alisha Jude of Inez, KY, and Amanda Meade of Inez, KY, and two sisters, Ada Hardin and Pricie Kelly, both of Inez, KY. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Keesha (Raymond) Johnson, Kirkland (Andrea) Bowen, Ricky Bowen, Susan Kirk, Renee Kirk, Steven Kirk, Ricky Kirk, Brett Kirk, Ariel Meade, Isabella Jude, and Katie Mills and fifteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 1 PM at the Kirk Memorial Baptist Church with Albert Horn officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirk 2 Cemetery. Friends may visit the church beginning on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 5 PM until time of the funeral service on Thursday. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
