Opal (Chaffins) Mullett

Opal (Chaffins) Mullett, age 80, of Louisa, KY, passed away on October 23, 2024, at The Jordan Center in Louisa, KY. She was born on December 2, 1943, to the late Asher and Tempie Chaffins in Martin County, KY. In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by three sons, Milton, Marvin and Matthew Sweeney, one brother, Richard Chaffins, and two sisters, Nollis and Nell Chaffins. Opal is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Mollett, two sons, Covey and James Sweeney, both of Inez, KY, one daughter, Becky Sweeney of Inez, KY, one brother, Randall Chaffins, and two sisters. Ann Sweeney and Audrey Ayers. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. There will be a graveside service on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Noon. Donations can be made to Crum Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
