Peggy R. (Bowen) Jordan Newsome

Peggy Jordan Newsome, age 79, of Tomahawk, KY, passed away September 29, 2022 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. She was born February 20, 1943 in Martin County, KY to the late Shirley Penix Bowen. In addition, she is preceded in death by her first husband, John R. Jordan, one son, Johnny Ray Jordan, one stepdaughter, Christina Harless, and two sisters, Alice Faye Dickerson and Anna Gaye Tindell. She is survived by her husband, Ervin Newsome, one son, Timothy (Diann) Bowen of Columbus, OH, one daughter, Candace Fulton of Columbus, OH, one stepson, James Newsome of Inez, KY, one stepdaughter, Debbie Jordan (Phil) Stover of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, and one sister, Barbara Delong of Tomahawk, KY. She is also survived by seven grandsons, two granddaughters, 11 great grandchildren, several other brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, family and a host of pets. Peggy was an avid lover of all animals and was always taking in strays. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with John Horn officiating. Burial will follow at the Penix Family Cemetery, Tomahawk, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 11 AM until the time of services. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
