RB (Earl) Blackburn

RB (Earl) Blackburn, age 83 of Debord, KY went home to be with the Lord on October 27, 2020 at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center. He was born on September 19, 1937 to the late Burgess and Josephine Blackburn in Martin County. In addition to his parents, Earl is preceded in death by one daughter, Marci Bertling, four brothers, Billy Joe, Glen, Earnest, and Burgess Jr., two sisters, Manatta Blackburn and Ida Goble, and Randy Hill. 

Earl is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosa Fay Blackburn, one son, Rodney Blackburn of Lexington, KY, one daughter, Linda (Greg) Scott of Debord, KY, four grandchildren, Jennifer (Brent) Harmon, Megan (Derrick) Mills, Courtney (Anthony) Little, and Ian Bertling, and nine great-grandchildren, Addison, Kinley, Kyleigh, Tate, Kaiden, Ryder, Marci, Licia, and Jill. He is also survived by three brothers, John Eddie (Doris) Blackburn, Russell (Mildred) Blackburn, and Don (Greta) Blackburn, and two sisters, Phyllis Preece and Betty Chapman. Earl also leaves behind Brenda Hill, Butch Bertling, and John Bertling, along with a host of family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 1PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Mike Smith and Larry Goble officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday from 5PM to 9PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home in Inez, KY.
