Rufus J. Reed

Rufus J. Reed, age 45, of Lenore, WV, passed away April 21, 2026, at his residence. He was born on January 12, 1981, to the late Arnold Reed of Lovely, KY.  Rufus is survived by his mother, Joann Reed and his step father, Jackie Blackburn of Inez, KY,  his beloved wife, Heather Reed of Lenore, WV, five daughters; Tiffany Kirk (Cameron) of Lowmansville, KY, Brook Branham (Gregory) of Williamson, WV, Amber Reed of Warfield, KY, Keiarah Reed (Caleb) of Kermit, WV, Chelsea Reed of Lenore, WV, and one son, Ben Reed of Lenore, WV, three brothers; Daniel Kazee (Renee) and Ralph Reed (May) all of Lovely, KY, Jimmy Reed (Amanda) of Beauty, KY, one granddaughter, Sophia Prince of Warfield, KY, his step-mother, Rebecca May Reed, one step-sister, Beth Reed both of Warfield, KY, and one step-brother, Harvey Lowry (Lee) of Youngstown, OH. Rufus was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends that were like family and several others that called him “Papaw”.  Rufus was also a member of the Mason's of Williamson, WV. 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 1PM, at the Wolf Creek Community Church with Ellis Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Ranson and Mary S. Moore Cemetery, Inez, KY. Friends may visit the church on Friday, April 24, 2026, and Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 5PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home in Inez, KY.
