Stephanie May Obituary

Stephanie Danielle Stiles-May (45) of Inez, Kentucky, passed away at Three Rivers Medical Center on the evening of December 13, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Stephanie was born on April 7, 1978, in Louisa, Kentucky at Three Rivers Medical Center to Gary Wayne Stiles and Johnna Sue (Phelps) Stiles. She is preceded in death by her father, Gary Wayne Stiles; brother-in-law, James Michael May; and special friend, Tracy (Dalton) Horn.
Stephanie was a passionate and successful entrepreneur and businesswoman. She served as a florist, pharmacy technician, photographer, coach, and community leader. She dedicated her life to improving her hometown and serving the youth of Martin County. She was highly dedicated to philanthropy and enhancing her town. She served as a member on the planning committee for Christmas in the Mountains, where she merged her love for Christmas and those in her community to create lasting memories and treasured moments.
Growing up, Stephanie was a cheerleader for the Sheldon Clark Cardinals and swimmer for the Martin County swim team, where she made many lasting relationships and sparked her love for sports. She continued her involvement into adulthood through her time as a cheer coach and by avidly supporting sporting events in the area. She could always be found at local games cheering, encouraging, and advocating for each and every child involved.
She enjoyed going on road trips with her close friends to partake in new adventures and visit scenic locations to snap a picture on the “Almost Heaven” swings. She also loved all things Snoopy and purple. Stephanie was a fiercely devoted wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered for her fun-loving, bubbly, selfless, and vibrant personality. To know her was to love her. Her memory and impact on others will outlive her for many years to come.
