Thomas L. McCoy

Thomas L. McCoy, age 70, of New Market, TN, passed away July 10, 2024 at his residence. He was born January 4, 1954 in Johnson County, KY to the late Clyde and Grace McCoy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife whom he was married to for 54 years, Betty Maynard McCoy, three brothers, Johnny McCoy, Carl (Linda) McCoy, and Gabe (Sandy) McCoy, and one brother-in-law, Roger Meade. He is survived by his second wife, Barbara Smelcer McCoy of New Market, TN, three daughters, Patty (Jason) Hale of New Market, TN, Susan (William Bowen) McCoy of Inez, KY, and Shauna (Jeremy) Ratliff of Louisa, KY, one stepson, Andy (Markie) Bowen of Jefferson City, TN, three brothers, Leroy (Phyllis) McCoy of Louisa, KY, Richard (Connie) McCoy of Inez, KY, and Clyde (Angie) McCoy of Columbus, OH, four sisters, Lois (Roger) Meade of Louisa, KY, Caroline (Kim) Ratliff of Warfield, KY, Ruby Gail (Randy) Cassady of Pilgrim, KY, and Linda Kaye (David) Moore of Kodak, TN, and one sister-in-law, Ruby McCoy. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Charleea (Adam) Davis, Cassie (Dave) Muncy, Bubby Sparks, Eric Sparks, Tinley Muncy, Easton Ratliff, Kaislee Ratliff, Parker Davis, Sydney (Thomas) Briles, Chloe Hale, Jonas (Heidi) Hale, Gary Lowe, Phoebe Bowen and Erica Moore. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 2 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY with Shawn Burgraff officiating. Burial will follow at the It'll Do Farms Cemetery in Louisa, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
