Vada Magdalene (Delong) Muncy

Vada Magdalene (Delong) Muncy, age 82, of Beauty, KY, gained her angel wings and passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on October 23, 2025. She was born on December 9, 1942, to the late William Delong and Hazel Irene (Newsome) Delong in Inez, KY. Vada was devoted to her family. She enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with loved ones. Vada was a mother figure to many of her nieces and nephews. She was an avid Elvis fan and loved his gospel music. In addition to her parents, Vada was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Muncy, one daughter, Teresa Muncy, one brother, Thomas (Jean) Delong, and two sisters, Evelyn Maynard and Kathy McFarland. Vada is survived by one daughter, Lora (Johnny) Simpkins, of Beauty, KY, four brothers, Donnie (Sherry) Delong, Thaddeus (Martha) Delong, Dewey (Carolyn) Delong, and Ricky (Lois) Delong, three sisters, Bonnie (John) Small, Carolyn (John) Bifone, and Donna Robinson. Vada is also survived by two grandchildren, Marcus (Kayla) Simpkins and Isabella Simpkins, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives. 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 2 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with James Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the funeral home on Saturday, October 25th from 6 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
