Venida Gay (Butcher) Spence

Venida Gay Spence, age 69, of Tomahawk, KY, passed away August 7, 2023 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Inez, KY. She was born May 3, 1954 in Johnson County, KY to the late Marcus and Jenlee Vanhoose Butcher. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Spence, one daughter, Tammy Spence, two brothers, Ballard Butcher and Harold Butcher, and two sisters, Marsha Diane Roth and Rita Childery. She is survived by one son, Jerry (Regina) Spence of Kermit, WV, and one daughter, Sandra (Greg Maynard) Morrison of Debord, KY, two special sisters-in-law, Mary Hedrick and Bessie Anderson, three brothers, Cecil Butcher of Boonscamp, KY, Clyde Butcher of OH, and Phillip Butcher of Martin County, KY, and one sister, Eva (Larry) Williams of Indiana. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Tommy Jay York, Kalista Spence, Anthony Thomas Spence, and Carson Spence, and two step grandchildren, Brittany Williams and Michael Marcum. At the request of the family, there will be no services at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
