Verna Gale Delong

Verna Gale Delong, age 66, of Debord, KY, passed away July 6, 2020 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. She was born May 5, 1954 in Columbus, OH to the late Giacomo Vincent Montesi and Beulah Edna Delong. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Greg Delong. She is survived by four brothers, Edward (Patty) McGinnis of Inez, KY, Joe (Terry) Delong of Prestonsburg, KY, Winfield (Jenny) McGinnis of Debord, KY and Richard Montesi, and five sisters, Joan Crum of Debord, KY, Cheryl (Brian) Bunnell of Dayton, OH, Terri Herrick, Linda Schirtzinger of Lewis Center, OH and Sandy Montesi of Columbus, OH. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins. Verna Gale was a member of the Davella Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 11 AM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Roger Harless officiating. Burial will follow in the Delong Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday and Thursday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
