Walter James Bowers

Walter James Bowers, age 85, of Campbellsville, KY, passed away April 28, 2021 at Taylor Regional Hospital. He was born July 15, 1935 in Somerset Co., Pennsylvania to the late Oscar Walter and Marie Elizabeth Bowers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue McCullough Bowers, one brother, Hubert Bowers, and one sister, Ruth Williams. He is survived by his daughters, Benita (Phillip) Field of North Carolina and Debbie (Ronnie) Evans of Campbellsville, KY, and one sister, Ruby Horstick of Illinois. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Gregory Lee (Jennifer) Evans, Cheris Lynn (Casey) Young, Matthew Field, Joshua (Hope) Field, Joyful Field, and Destiny Field, and five great grandchildren, Truett, Holden, Grayson, Cayleigh, and Caleb. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 11 AM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Bill Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Garden, Louisa, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of services on Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
