Walter Stevens Obituary

Walter Lee Stevens, born May 27, 1951 to the late Fannie Bailey and Walter Stevens, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Kings Daughters Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Dianna Stevens, and his children; Dakota (Paul) Castle of Inez, Leeann Stevens Marcum of Cattlesburg, Kristy (Mike) Hensley-Smith of Kinston NC, Amanda (Dwight) Chafins of Paintsville, Shannon Goble of Louisa, and his son in law, David Randall Marcum. He is also survived by his brothers; Sherd, Tom, and John B. Stevens and his sisters; Rachel Stepp, Hester Pack, and Nancy Stevens, and his grandchildren; Ariel KayLee Castle, Reagan “Olivia” Marcum, Skyla Smith, Ember Smith, Dylan Simpkins, Kendra Simpkins, Tiffany Goble, Kenny Goble, Morgan Brown, Blake Simpkins and one great grandson, Beau Simpkins. He also leaves behind his close friends, Quentin Hensley, Stanley Molette, and Daniel Spence. Walter was a member of the Richardson Missionary Baptist church where he will be missed.

Visitation will be held Sunday and Monday, December 8th and 9th in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home from 5pm-9pm. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday December 10th with Garmon Preece officiating and burial to follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
