William David Hammond

William David Hammond passed away peacefully on August 14, 2022 after a long and hard fought battle with cancer.

"Davey" was born July 26, 1946 to William "Bill" and Hazel Hammond.  He was proceeded in death by both of his parents.  Left to cherish his memory are his sister Doris Antonocci and Lowell Rutledge of Reynoldsburg, OH; his brother James (Gail) Hammond of Ripley, WV; James "Jimmy" Hammond; Brenda (Dale) Ramella; his son David (Tammy) Hammond of Mansfield, OH and two granddaughters Logan (Alex) Logue of Lexington, KY and Makayla (Clay) Cochran of Westerville, OH; his fiancé Annie Muncy of Warfiled, KY and nieces Tracy (Jeff) Carter and Teresa (Kenny) Wheeler and nephew Jamie (Jackie) Hammond of Columbus, Oh; special cousins Connie Horn and Donna Meade.

In his younger years, Davey lived in central Ohio where he worked as a small business owner to several businesses and was the General Manager of a car dealership.  Later after relocating back to Inez, KY his hobbies were buying, selling and working on older cars and collecting musical instruments and learning how to play them.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 2 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Warnie Pinson officiating. Burial will follow in the family Cemetery.  Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 1 PM until the time of services. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
